Moisture in solids is an important parameter that strongly influences product quality and can fundamentally increase the economic efficiency of a production. HUMY 3019 is successfully applied in many processes including sugar, tobacco, grain, malt, flour, coal, sand, wood shavings, dried food, fertilizer, powder, pigments, plastic granules. As installation sites, conveyors, screw conveyors, silos, hoppers are especially suitable. In-Line moisture measurement is also possible in batch processes. When measuring, the relative permittivity and high-frequency recession of the solid are measured in the high-frequency range. The measurement procedure allows short and easy calibration and high accuracy of up to 0.1%. The measuring probe transmits the data digitally. This makes the measurement task interference insensitive and allows a distance from the sensor to the final judgment of up to 1000 m. The self-monitoring system has an integrated data logger in addition to automatic compensation of temperature and aging drift, digital and alarm outputs. The device operates through two analog outputs for the measured values and can be used automatically through the two digital inputs or the RS485 interface. Calibration is done with the supplied software. Different product parameters can be stored for product or process changes.
