Measurement Technology
The volumetric flow sensor MFM500A works according to the calorimetric measurement principle. There are two measuring elements and a heat source at the measuring point. Use is made of the physical effect that a flowing medium absorbs and dissipates heat energy. The resulting temperature change is an indication of flow.

Device function
The MFM500A sensor is designed to detect and measure flow and temperature even in large internal pipe diameters. It is available with a choice of power supply and output types, including relays, transistors and 4-20mA.
