Each Mobeye surveillance device requires a SIM card for communication. A sim card is enclosed with the product which you can use at an advantageous rate, and immediately offers the additional benefits of the Mobeye Internet Portal. Alternatively use your own sim card.

Mobeye sim card:
For optimal security and ease of use, use the Mobeye SIM card and connect the device to the Mobeye Internet Portal, the online webapp. The sim card is usually included with the product and you activate it online.
It is a "multi-provider" machine-to-machine card*. The SIM card is allowed to connect to all networks locally, which means you are not dependent on one provider. So you are guaranteed a strong and stable network. The card has a flat fee for Europe for pricing.

Additional functions when using the Mobeye Internet Portal:
- programming the unit via the internet
- alert via email, SMS and call
- Display of device location (based on Cell-Id)
- messaging if 'keep alive' messages fail to materialize
- SMS or e-mail in case of low battery voltage
- distinction between technical messages and alarm messages
- access to history
- Per device the Mobeye Internet Portal offers additional options, such as specific authorizations and timers for the
Mobeye Call-Key, charts and meters for devices with log functions, etc.

Own sim card:
It is possible to use your own SIM card. You then use the device "stand alone", the advantages of the Mobeye Internet Portal expire. Make sure the card is suitable for 2G, can call and text and has the "normal format".
* Formally, only machine-to-machine sim cards may be used in (all) devices and "06 numbers and the foreign equivalents" are only intended for telephoning. This is an additional reason to choose the Mobeye sim card.
